Congratulations to the 142 runners and walkers who completed the Cranleigh Trail Marathon and Half Marathon yesterday. It was a record size entry this year, our fourth for this event, with a new course record set for the challenge walk event.
Our first marathon finisher was Pete Sutton from Run Academy Worthing, finishing in 03:40:44. In second place was David Chapman from Trail Running Association, finishing in 03:48:28. In third place was Tom Vellacott from Dorking Mole Valley Athletic Club, in 03:49:40.
First lady across the marathon finish line was Yvette Wrapson in 03:55:46. Second lady home was Claire Kania from Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets Harriers, in 03:58:36. Third lady to finish the marathon distance was Lotte Carritt in 04:12:36.
For the half marathon, our first finisher was Mark Pinder in 01:40:20. Second place was Rob O’Connor in 01:41:31 and third place was Robin Boon of Guildford & Godalming AC in 01:41:42.
First lady to finish the half marathon was Fay Cripps from Victory AC in 01:42:00, followed by Donna Read from Haslemere Border AC in 01:46:55 and then Francesca Sist in 01:53:45.
Our fastest challenge walker was Annie Sutton in 03:17:56 (new course record), followed by Vicky James in 03:36:07 and Magda Heluszka in 03:55:14.
